Asclepias linearis
A less-frequently encountered native milkweed in the Rio Grande Valley, the Slim Milkweed is also a host plant for Monarch, Queen, and Soldier butterflies. It’s small flowers can be tinged with pink and have a subtle sweet smell to them. A perennial species that comes back from root.
